Request Group Visit

If you're an educator or counselor interested in scheduling a group visit for your school, look no further!

We can tell you! We can show you pictures! But the best way to know if NNU is the place for you is to visit our campus! We encourage all high school students in their junior or senior year and all transfer students to visit NNU. You will probably fall in love with our people and with our campus, but if you don't, that's OK too. At least you're one step closer to finding a college you will truly love!

To schedule your visit, click the link for the event you are interested in. You can check out sample schedules of each event and see the date options. Don't hesitate to call our Campus Visit Coordinator at 208-467-8472 with any questions or to register over the phone.

Travel Reimbursement

You + us + travel reimbursement ...Is there anything better? ( we don’t think so )
At NNU we understand that traveling to visit colleges can be expensive, which is why we want to help you get here.

Here's how it works:

    1. Schedule an official campus visit through the Office of Admissions.
    2. Send us a copy of your travel receipt.
    3. Visit campus and receive your reimbursement.
  • We will reimburse the cost of your plane ticket up to $250
  • Recruited NCAA athletes are not eligible for this program
  • This reimbursement is only for the cost of the student's ticket & may only be applied to one visit during your high school years
  • This must be an official campus visit event coordinated through the Office of Admissions
  • NNU will reimburse any public transportation such as commercial planes, trains or buses, but will not cover the cost of fuel for cars or any use of personal mileage

Now all you have to do is book your flight to come see us! We can’t wait to have you here.
For more information about NNU’s travel reimbursement, contact our visit coordinator at 208.467.8472 or visit@nnu.edu.

What you should know before you visit

When is the best time to come to campus?

You should definitely come during the academic year when you can see and experience NNU in action!

What should I bring on my campus visit?

If you are staying overnight in the dorms, please plan to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towels, and necessary toiletries. If you are coming for a day visit, plan to wear comfortable clothes and shoes for walking around campus. Idaho's weather can change quickly in the course of an hour or two, so layered clothing works best.

Where can I park on campus during my visit, and do I need a parking permit?

Guests may park in any of the parking lots or streets on campus. Examine a campus map for exact locations. Parking is free and there is no need to obtain a guest pass.

Can parents participate in the visit events?

Yes! Parents are welcome to attend any and all visit events/activities taking place; in fact, we encourage you to participate! The process of visiting college campuses is as important for parents as it is for students. At NNU we invite students and parents to talk about what they want to do together and separately during the campus visit. One student may love having dad along throughout the entire day, but another student may prefer to visit campus by himself. Ultimately, we want both student and parent to feel comfortable with the environment in which they choose to spend the next few years of their life because these years are pivotal in the shaping and developing of each student's world view and values. Overnight dorm housing is not available for parents.  Parents can stay in the Alumni House if available, or contact our Campus Visit Coordinator at 208-467-8472 for local hotel recommendations.

What is the closest airport to NNU?

Boise International Airport is approximately 30 minutes from campus and accepts flights from most major airlines.

Does NNU provide transportation to and from the airport?

Yes, airport transportation is available! Before purchasing your tickets, please contact our Campus Visit Coordinator to confirm that a shuttle will be available on the date of your flight(s). NNU's shuttles operate between the hours of 8am - 5pm (Monday-Friday).

NNU Friday

A general campus visit can sometimes lack the full college picture, but NNU Friday is an excellent way to experience NNU. Escape from high school for a day to imagine your life as a college student. These events are designed to fit into your busy life and still provide you an opportunity for an in-depth campus visit. Arrive on Thursday night and stay over in the dorms or check in Friday morning and stay for the day (overnight accommodations available if you're staying for a special Friday night campus event). Either way, you can tour the campus, meet faculty, talk with admission and financial aid counselors, attend class and chapel, and eat in the dining hall.

These events are free and include one meal on campus. Just bring yourself unless you are planning on an overnight stay. For a night in the dorms bring your sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and toiletries. If staying overnight, please make arrangements with the Campus Visit Coordinator to meet up with your overnight host the night before your chosen date between 5:00 and 9:00 pm. Overnight dorm housing is not available for parents.  Parents can stay in the Alumni House if available, or contact our Campus Visit Coordinator at 208-467-8472 for local hotel recommendations.

To all of our adventure-loving skiers and snowboarders out there, this event is for you! NNU’s place in the Northwest means we've got the best urban amenities and outdoor pursuits around, and we want to give you a taste of the good life. A big perk of Boise Valley living is getting to experience all four seasons, and if you needed one more reason to love this area, we think that’s a pretty good one.

Come see all that campus has to offer at NNU Friday and get the full college picture! This event will give you an opportunity to be immersed in our culture and see what it’s like firsthand. You can tour the campus, meet faculty, talk with admissions counselors and financial aid officers, attend class and chapel, eat in the dining hall and stay overnight in campus dorms.

And then the next day you’ll head up to Bogus Basin Ski Resort (it’s less than an hour away!) and get in a day of snow sports! This will be an awesome chance to see the local area, meet future classmates and current students, and you’ll get to envision what your life would be like as an NNU student. Weekend ski trips to the mountains with your best college buds could become your reality.

For this weekend excursion $20 will cover both your lift ticket and equipment rental!
